In Recognition of Service
The experience of serving our nation as a Member of Congress, a Congressional staffer, a Page or in other capacities, has profoundly affected the lives of the men and women who have held those positions. Throughout your term of service, you played a vital role in our democratic process. To have had an opportunity to shape legislation and to do the hard work that builds and preserves our democracy is a true privilege and honor.
The Capitol Alumni Program was created to recognize the service of individuals, family members and descendants of those who have served in the Continental Congress through the current Congress. As one of these individuals, you are part of the living history that the Society is charged to preserve in its mission to communicate the history of the Capitol and Congress. Your support in this special member category will help extend the Society’s work to educate our populace, especially youngsters, so that they know their history, appreciate the importance of civic involvement, and deepen their love for our country.
