Leadership Council ($25,000 and above)

A Capitol Education:

  • Congressional reception in Statuary Hall in the Capitol, every other year.  The Society invites the entire Congress, the Leadership and our Capitol Committee members to honor the incoming Freshman Class Members of Congress. (four invitations)
  • Annual Trustee Breakfast, an intimate event featuring a sitting Representative or Senator who serves on the Society’s Board of Directors. (two invitations)
  • USCHS Congressional Leadership Event, annual. A Congressional Leader is invited to share their thoughts and feelings about the Capitol. (two invitations)
  • USCHS dinner honoring the history of a selected House or Senate committee, annual. These evenings include current Members, former chairmen, committee staff, and guest speakers. (two invitations)
  • Annual luncheon featuring a Congressional Chief of Staff or Legislative Director. (two invitations)
  • All other USCHS events, such as symposia, lectures and exhibits. (two invitations)

Experiencing History:

  • Daytime tours Monday through Friday (8:30am-4:30pm) of the U.S. Capitol led by Society Staff, our most popular benefit.
  • Evening tours Monday through Friday of the U.S. Capitol led by Society Staff, subject to availability of guides and Former Member of Congress.
  • One VIP tour annually: special tour for 2 people, including a luncheon in the House or Senate Dining Room. (*Please note: Dining Rooms are only open when the respective chamber is in session—please keep this in mind when scheduling tours.)
  • Keynote speaker from the USCHS Speakers Bureau for your special event or conference, upon request.
  • Special focus on explanation of membership benefits to the staff of member’s DC office, including a walk-through day of benefits, featuring a tour of the Capitol and lunch.
  • Advice planning events in the Capitol.

Recognition:

  • Special recognition in the Capitol DOME, the Society’s quarterly newsletter.

Constitution Signers ($15,000–$24,999)

Members of Congress are invited to attend all of the U.S. Capitol Historical Society’s events.

The U.S. Capitol Historical Society looks forward to working with donor members to utilize and enjoy these benefits, but reserves the right to decline fulfilling any benefit that, in the view of the USCHS, would not be befitting the decorum of the United States Capitol, the mission of the USCHS or that might otherwise appear to violate, in letter or in spirit, any law, regulation or rule of the United States Congress.

 

For tax purposes:

— For gifts of $25,000, $745 is not tax-deductible.

— For gifts of $15,000, $580 is not tax-deductible.

— For gifts of $10,000, $530 is not tax-deductible.

— For gifts of $5,000, $200 is not tax-deductible.
