Event Description

Award-winning writer and lecturer Harold Holzer will give the U.S. Capitol Historical Society’s 2017 Black History Month Lecture on Wednesday, February 15 at noon. His talk will feature visual depictions of Abraham Lincoln that appear in the Capitol, especially those that include images related to Emancipation, and the artists that created them.

This event will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Building at 200 Maryland Ave. NE, Washington, DC 20002. It is free and open to the public, although pre-registration is requested as space may be limited. The event is co-sponsored by the Lincoln Group of DC.
