Patricia O’Toole, author of The Moralist: Woodrow Wilson and the War He Made, will speak about the Senate’s vote on the Treaty of Versailles. The vote took place 100 years ago on March 19. O’Toole is currently a distinguished visiting scholar at the John W. Kluge Center; she is working on a book about Theodore Roosevelt’s pioneering efforts to give the United States a social safety net.
