Event Description
Former USCHS Capitol Fellow Lynda Cooper will trace the relationship between the Library of Congress’s Thomas Jefferson Building (1889-1897) in Washington, D.C. and the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
Working from an art history perspective, she will offer an in-depth look at similarities among select murals designed by three artists whose work was featured first at the Chicago exposition, then at the Jefferson Building.
