USCHS President Jane L. Campbell speaks at the AALU Town Hall

On Tuesday, April 30th, 2019, United States Capitol Historical Society (USCHS) President Jane L. Campbell spoke in a town hall during the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU) Annual Meeting. The Capitol Hill Club fly-in, held as part of the Annual Meeting, gives participants the opportunity to meet with their Members of Congress and staff to speak about issues that directly impact the life insurance industry and the millions of families that depend on their products. Jennifer Fox, Political Affairs Manager for AALU, introduced Ms. Campbell to the crowd of more than 30 people.

Ms. Campbell recalled her experiences in public life, from her upbringing in a household dedicated to public service to her transitions both into and out of elected office. Stories from her time as both a congressional chief of staff and committee staff director were of particular interest to the audience, who were in the middle of their Capitol Hill Club day. Ms. Campbell gave them advice on how to most effectively bring convey their message and concluded by sharing some of her favorite “fun facts” about the Capitol.

The USCHS is proud to have both AALU as a member of the Capitol Committee and Marc Cadin, its CEO, as a member of the Board of Trustees.
